On Wednesday, 26 August, Wellington College Education (China) – Tianjin welcomed the start of the new academic year. Staff and pupils returned with bright smiles and eager anticipation, stepping confidently into a fresh chapter of learning and growth.

This academic year, Wellington is delighted to welcome a cohort of passionate and accomplished new colleagues. We believe that the continuous development of educators is fundamental to outstanding educational quality. In preparation for the new term, the school delivered a rigorous two-week training programme. Alongside strengthening professional expertise, the programme created space for thoughtful dialogue around educational philosophy and the refinement of classroom practice. From nurturing pupils’ intrinsic motivation and designing highly interactive lessons, to integrating digital tools and building inclusive classrooms, every teacher has committed to professional growth—ready to deliver exceptional learning experiences across the campus.

Over the summer break, the campus benefited from a comprehensive upgrade to facilities and learning environments. Our new Robotics and Innovation Space provides a state-of-the-art hub for hands-on exploration and creation. The Early Years Solar Term Sensory Garden invites our youngest learners to engage in their senses and develop cognitive awareness through nature. A dedicated Sixth Form Multi-Functional Learning Space offers a flexible, focused setting for independent study and collaborative discussion. The dedicated Outdoor learning space breaks the boundaries of traditional indoor classrooms. Our renovated Sports Hall and Sports Field include upgraded facilities to support a wide range of training and competitive events. These enhancements reflect our purposeful approach to reimagining learning spaces—placing care, insight and pupil development at the heart of every corner of the campus—and creating an inspiring environment in which pupils are eager to explore, discover and learn.

This academic year also marks the 15th anniversary of Wellington College Education (China) – Tianjin. Over fifteen remarkable years, the school has supported the growth of countless pupils while remaining steadfast in its commitment to premium British international education. As we reach this important milestone, we embrace our 15th anniversary as a new beginning. True to our founding mission, we will continue to pursue excellence and write the next inspiring chapter together with every member of the Wellington community.
