Overview
Senior School Curriculum
Our Secondary School curriculum instils an abiding passion for our global scientific, linguistic and cultural heritage. Pupils are encouraged to pursue a diversity of courses and extend themselves beyond their comfort zone.
Students graduate from our Secondary School at the age of 18 years, equipped with the knowledge, skills and independence of mind necessary to become effective, independent, resilient and responsible leaders of the future.
This is the result of their journey through our educational programme in Tianjin, combining a determination to achieve the best examination results possible, but also reinforcing the essential skills needed to thrive in the wider world.

IGCSE and A Level Programme
Our year 10 and 11 pupils work toward the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination qualifications.
In the International Curriculum Centre, pupils take the A Level programme which allows them to look deeper into a range of subjects through both the (AS Level) in year 12 and then into A Level in year 13. A Levels are the gold standard in terms of preparation and qualification to the world's premier universities worldwide.
Holistic Education and Academic Opportunities
Whether it is in the classroom, on the sports field, on the stage, or whilst engaged in service projects across our wider community, our pupils receive an all-round education designed to help them flourish as global citizens. Our examination qualifications – International IGCSE and A Levels – arm pupils with some of the most prestigious academic awards anywhere in the world and provide a clear pathway to the world’s top universities.
Co-Curricular Activities
At Wellington College International Tianjin, education extends beyond the classroom through a diverse activities program that promotes a holistic approach. We encourage our Secondary School pupils to explore new interests, maintain physical and mental well-being, and discover opportunities for self-expression. This fosters well-rounded individuals, preparing them for life beyond Wellington while allowing them to develop new skills in intellectual, cultural, and athletic pursuits.
