During the 2025–2026 academic year, the Junior School remained committed to the belief of “learning through competition, thinking through competition and growing through competition.” Focusing on three key subjects, Mathematics, English and Computing, we organised pupils to take on challenges on international platforms. Through each new experience, pupils strengthened their thinking skills, language competence and problem-solving abilities, while gaining confidence and recognition on a broader global stage.

Mathematics: Outstanding Achievements
Mathematics stood out as a particular highlight. This year marked our first participation in the UK Team Mathematics Challenge (UKMT TMC), and our pupils achieved an impressive breakthrough. They won all individual Top Gold awards in the primary category and secured 1st place overall in the team total score. These results reflect not only strong mathematical ability, but also excellent communication, clear division of roles and true teamwork under pressure.

At the same time, our pupils also performed exceptionally well in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC), achieving 5 National Distinction awards and 6 National Credit awards.

In the much-loved Maths Kangaroo (MK), pupils remained enthusiastic and curious through fun and engaging challenges, earning multiple awards and building confidence: 3 National Gold, 3 National Silver and 6 National Bronze.

English: Strong and Steady Progress
In English, pupils delivered an impressive performance in the Hippo English Olympiad, winning 9 First Prizes, 5 Second Prizes, 12 Third Prizes, 3 Merit Awards and 4 Participation Awards.

These achievements demonstrate pupils’ consistent progress in vocabulary, reading, grammar and overall language competence, and reflect the strong impact of our English programme, built on an approach of “interest-driven learning and step-by-step skills development.”
Computing: A Promising Start in Computational Thinking
In Computing, pupils took part in the Bebras International Challenge on Informatics and Computational Thinking and received the Proficiency Award.

This is not only an honour, but also an important starting point for developing logical thinking, pattern recognition and early algorithmic awareness.
Behind every award are pupils’ perseverance and passion, parents’ support and encouragement, and our teachers’ continuous dedication to curriculum design, training guidance and confidence-building. At primary level, the value of competitions goes far beyond prizes. They help children learn to think, express themselves and collaborate, gradually developing key competencies for the future.
In the new academic year, the Junior School will continue to focus on “building strong foundations, broadening horizons and strengthening abilities,” so that more pupils can shine on the stages that suit them best, gaining both growth and confidence.
