Academy Programme is Open Now

In line with our sister schools worldwide, we believe in education that extends far beyond the classroom. While we place great emphasis on academic excellence, our extensive activities programme reflects our holistic approach to education. We encourage pupils to explore new interests, nurture their physical and intellectual well-being, and discover lifelong passions and avenues for self-expression. These experiences shape well-rounded individuals, equipping them with the skills and confidence to thrive in the world beyond Wellington.

Many pupils discover life-long passions through our activities programme, which helps them develop a range of intellectual, cultural, and athletic skills. We believe co-curricular activities are essential for enriching pupils’ learning experiences and adding depth to their classroom education. Unlike traditional academic subjects, they provide opportunities for pupils to immerse themselves in school team practices, drama rehearsals, music performances, and much more. Co-curricular activities offer countless benefits, playing a vital role in shaping a child’s personality. 

They support holistic development, build self-confidence, and equip pupils with the resilience to face future challenges, foster general development, boost self-confidence, and prepare pupils for future challenges. These activities often encourage to step pupils outside of their comfort zones, enabling teamwork and collaboration with peers across different year groups - and even other schools.

Our Academy department also organises the Saturday Academy, which welcomes children from outside Wellington. Featuring nearly 60 diverse activities led by international and local experts - alongside Wellington staff, the Saturday Academy provides a vibrant community experience tailored to individuals and families.

Our sports courses - including football, basketball, tennis, chess, swimming, and Taekwondo, help children to develop physical fitness and teamwork skills. We also offer robust language programmes such as IPC, English and debating courses alongside Creative Design and Science Experiments, which enhance hands-on learning and curiosity. Additionally, we provide The Little Welly Club, a half-day programme designed for children aged 2.5 to 4.5 years old. This course has proven to significantly promote and positively impact the overall development of children in this age group.

We provide specialist courses designed by educators from the Wellington College Education (China) group, with a strong emphasis on Science and English language, alongside a diverse range of sports and arts activities. Led by the Wellington staff and carefully selected vendors, our programmes ensure your child receives the highest quality instruction, care, and support at every stage of the programme.
