We emphasized high-quality teaching and learning this year, focusing on developing our pupils' English language proficiency, independent learning skills, and critical thinking abilities. From NEST to Senior School, our pupils have made progress, and we encourage them to pay attention to their own growth and strive to become better versions of themselves. 

We are especially proud of the tremendous success achieved by our graduates this year in university admissions. 36% of them received offer letters from renowned universities ranked in the top 20 in the world, including Cambridge University, Imperial College London, University College London, the University of Sydney, the University of Melbourne, and the University of New South Wales. Many pupils have also received recognition from prestigious institutions such as the London School of Economics, the University of Edinburgh, UCLA, New York University, the University of Toronto, and Seoul National University in Korea, as well as renowned universities in China like the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

In addition to academic achievements, our school also excels in holistic education. Our pupils have achieved outstanding results in various international and domestic academic, art, music, and sports competitions. We have provided them with a stage to showcase their talents in various school-themed activities, domestic and foreign field trips, sports competitions, stage performances, and art exhibitions. The annual musical "Jekyll and Hyde," the Chinese drama "Let the Bullets Fly," and the Shakespearean play "Hamlet" were all highly praised for their script and performance. 

The factory visits, career experience days, friendly school exchanges, and Wellington UK Summer Camps also broaden their horizons and expose pupils to the real world. 

 

Wellington UK Summer Camps

Various concerts, sports competitions, Winter Fair, and Summer Fair enabled pupils to learn teamwork and responsibility in cooperation, an essential part of holistic education. 

These activities helped pupils open up a broad perspective in understanding the world from multiple angles and dimensions and kept them engaged in interactive learning and self-challenge.

The upgrade of the Junior School’s outdoor learning area and Senior School's science classroom greatly improved pupils' learning experience and promoted the steady development of teaching.

In the area of "sustainable development," our non-academic teams have made continuous exploration and progress, whether it is implementing a "plastic-free dining hall" or installing a "direct drinking water dispenser" during the summer. These reflect our determination to assist environmental protection and build a green campus. The upcoming "campus security system upgrade" project during the summer holiday is also the school's commitment to the safety of all teachers, pupils, and parents. I believe that our non-academic teams will continue to work hard in the next academic year to contribute to the steady progress and continued development of our school!

School development cannot be achieved without the joint efforts of all teachers and staff. I am delighted to share with you some information about our staff. This year, our school's turnover rate was only 9.2%, showing a continuous and stable downward trend compared to data from the past five years, which reflects the professionalism and loyalty of our staff in their work. It is the silent contribution of all our staff that has achieved the success we have today. Of course, at this time every year, we say a reluctant goodbye to employees leaving us. We deeply appreciate their contributions and positive impact while working at our school and wish them all the best in their future endeavours. This year, our school has fully completed the upgrade of Wellington China's "safe recruitment" standards, strictly screening candidates' qualifications and backgrounds, to ensure that we hire high-quality teachers with professionalism and dedication. With the addition of new colleagues, I am convinced that our school will welcome new developments and achievements.

Finally, I would like to thank all parents for their support and participation, making our Wellington community more closely connected and achieving the goal of a collaborative relationship between home and school.
