Ms Bond

English Teacher

Ms Bond is an English Literature and Language teacher from England. Hannah studied for a degree in English Literature at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, where she fostered a particular interest in Victorian fiction. After graduating, Ms Bond completed a Master’s Degree in Victorian Literature at Durham University. Excited to share her passion for reading and writing with students, Ms Bond then pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Nottingham, where she graduated with Distinction. She has had lots of experience teaching English as a second language too and strives to empower her students to achieve their very best.

Ms Jones

Design & Technology Teacher

Ms Jones has a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering, from Coleg y Cymoedd in South Wales, with a focus on Engineering design and the design aspects behind aerospace. She then went on to graduate from Cardiff School of Art and Design (Cardiff Metropolitan University) with a Bachelor of Science in Product Design where she focused on designing for manufacture and then completed her PGCE with QTS at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Her passion when teaching is to work to provide equal learning opportunities for all learners through the provision of knowledge and skills needed to develop strong design ideas.

Mr Batey

DSL and Pupil Support Lead (Whole School) / Art Teacher

Mr Batey has been teaching Art & Graphics for over 20 years, 13 of these in Tianjin. After completing a degree in graphic design with a specialism in narrative and editorial illustration in Southampton, he went on to study for his PGCE at the University of Bristol. In 2015 Ed was awarded a master’s degree in education from the University of Nottingham which included a great deal of research into the experiences of East Asian students working in a Western educational context.

Mr Dentico

Head of Science

Mr Dentico came to China after being awarded a master’s degree from Bangor University in 2013. He first taught undergraduate students whilst completing research on agricultural genetics at Jianghan University, Wuhan, before moving to Shanghai to teach senior students at a bilingual boarding school. Since coming to Wellington in 2016, he has completed his PGCE at Durham University, for which he was awarded a distinction.
