Wellington College Tianjin starts ICDL classes for Senior Pupils
ICDL China is pleased to welcome Wellington College International Tianjin as the first Accredited Test Centre (ATC) in Tianjin.
ICDL is the world's leading credential for digital skills certification. To date, over 17 million individuals have participated in ICDL certification programmes across more than 100 countries.
Over 40 pupils from the Senior School are taking part in the ICDL Digital Student programme, with each of them completing a pack of 3 modules throughout the academic year.
Mr Gregor Markovic, the Director of Educational Technology in Wellington College International Tianjin, has said about the programme: “We are pleased to introduce the ICDL programme to our Senior School pupils, alongside other digital courses in each phase of our school.
As part of our school’s vision and the Wellington College China motto ‘Be You. Be More’, we aspire to prepare our pupils for success in an ever-changing world requiring increasingly high levels of digital literacy.”
Mr Lan Xiaoyu, General Manager of ICDL China, said, “It’s an exciting partnership for ICDL China. ICDL is the digital skills standard originated from and supported by the EU and its member states. It’s been well adopted to enhance students’ digital literacy, to equip them with the skills needed to live and excel in the digital economy.
The collaboration with Wellington Tianjin is a strong testament of ICDL’s mission to promote digital skills and ICT competency development globally.”
