University Fair Sparks Interest in Higher Education
Wellington College Tianjin recently hosted its first on-campus University Fair since the pandemic. The 2023 University Fair provided pupils with a fantastic opportunity to explore their options for higher education and reconnect with universities.
Admissions officers from many top universities, such as The University of Warwick (UK), EHL Hospitality Business School (Switzerland), The University of Sydney (Australia) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), came to the College to provide first-hand information to pupils and parents. With excitement and expectation in the air, pupils enthusiastically spoke with university representatives to find out about the variety of courses universities can offer, as well as ask questions about the programmes, requirements, and pupil life on their campus.
The University Fair was jam-packed with seven breakout sessions scheduled, covering topics such as studying in the UK, USA, Australia, and Canada, as well as studying Pharmacy, Medicine, Art, and Hospitality.

When asked about her first impression of Wellington College Tianjin, Ms Li, the Future Student Officer from the University of Sydney, shared, "The campus is stunning, the canteen is immaculate, and the food is delicious. The staff and pupils here are incredibly friendly."
Ms. Antonia, the Representative from the University of Warwick, spoke about her experience at the University Fair, saying, "It was a highly successful event with great support from the teachers in the University Guidance team. The pupils were actively engaged, asking many questions and displaying a keen interest in the school."
Talking to a range of people about their experiences of university during the University Fair was an unforgettable experience for pupils. It gave them an idea of what decisions they would need to make and what to expect when they got to university. Overall, the 2023 University Fair was a huge success, and we can't wait for the next one!
