Summer Vacation Epidemic Prevention Tips

29 Jun 2021

Tip 1

As the summer vacation approaches, Delta, the main strain of the global COVID-19 pandemic, has caused transmission and severe epidemic in 92 countries and regions. And it has caused local clusters of outbreaks in some parts of China. The vaccine currently in use in China is still effective against the mutated virus. We suggest that you should avoid high-risk areas during summer travel, carry masks with you, and avoid gathering in crowded places.

To develop a healthy lifestyle and strengthen physical activity, the summer school camp provides a great opportunity for children to exercise, while the school medical team is involved to ensure the safety of the activity. Interested parents are welcome to contact with Mr. Eelco

Tip 2

At the same time, the summer vacation is also the season of high incidence of hand, foot, mouth and Herpangina. Parents should take good precautions and avoid taking children to crowded places as much as possible. Please clean and disinfect their hands.

Tip 3

Last week we invited doctors from AIER Eye Hospital of Tianjin University to come to the school and were given a public vision screening activity for free for the Junior school and Senior school. You may have seen the inspection report from your children. Through visual screening, we hope that parents can understand and pay attention to the current visual health status of the students and can use the summer vacation time to help students correct to ensure students' eye health and learning effect in the future.

Tip 4

In the new academic year the school nurse team will organise more health-related activities for students and parents. If you have any medical enquiries, please send an email to TJ-medical@wellingtoncollege.cn
