Appointment of Founding Headmaster

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr David Cook as the Founding Headmaster of Wellington College International Tianjin. Mr Cook is currently the Founding Head of Repton School in Dubai, which now has nearly 1,700 students, aged 3 to 18, and is regarded as one of the leading international schools in the Middle East. He will be joining us in Tianjin in August 2010 and will oversee the planning and opening of the school.
Mr Cook has very wide experience as an international Head, having also worked in Qatar, Thailand, Colombia and England. He studied History at King's College, London and Lincoln College, Oxford, before embarking on his career in teaching at Westminster School in London, where he was Head of History and a Housemaster. He has had various historical works published, and more recently collaborated with his wife, Debbie, on an acclaimed travel book on Malaysia. They have six children aged 3 to 13, three of whom were born overseas. Debbie and all the family will be accompanying him to Tianjin in good time for the opening of Wellington College International Tianjin in August 2011.
