Year 6 London Trip
05 May 2019
//Day 1· A fantastic first day!
We started our day at The Tower of London where the students explored one of the most historic sites of London. They were lucky enough to be part of a reenactment of the plot and attempt to steal the Crown Jewels which was informative and hilarious!
After enjoying our lunch in the sun, we then boarded our boat and enjoyed a cruise along the River Thames to Westminister. We then went by foot to St. James Park where we enjoyed views of Buckingham Palace and ate ice-cream before heading off for our evening meal.
//Day 2· The London Eye, London Zoo
After a restful nights sleep, we headed off early to beat the crowds and take our flight on The London Eye. It was great to spot some iconic sights from above.
Next, we took the bus to London Zoo where the students were well entertained by the playful penguins. After that, we spent a couple of hours exploring the other enclosures and ended the visit with a cooling gelato.
If you know our students, you'll know how mad they are for football and in the afternoon we strolled up the road from our hotel to the local common where they played a friendly football match with some of the local children. We were so proud of their inclusiveness and how they displayed the Wellington Values!
