CHINESE CULTURE TRIP TO DRUM TOWER
28 Oct 2016
The Mandarin department took Y9 pupils to the Drum Tower in the Ancient Culture Street of Tianjin on Tuesday 25th Oct.
The trip was designed to inspire pupils through the many varied Chinese traditional folk art and crafts, as well as experiencing the lively atmosphere of Chinese traditional drama by visiting the Tianjin Museum of Theatre (the original Guangdong Association). We were very lucky to see the special exhibition of the museum’s 30th anniversary, which showed many precious historical relics such as costumes and props from famous players some one hundred years ago. It was an enjoyable trip for our pupils and teachers.
