Sports Day 2016

Wellington College International Tianjin annual sports day proved to be another fun and competitive event. The weather was almost perfect with very little wind and bright sunshine.

The Nest students turned up with full enthusiasm on the day. They rotated around 6 different fun activities and worked extremely hard to challenge themselves. Parents were invited to watch the events and support their children. Everybody had a fantastic morning.

The events for KS2 were split into two parts. The field events such as high jump, long jump, shot put, javelin and discus happened on the first day. The next day was the track events including 100m, 200m, 400m, 60m hurdles and house relay. All the athletes were fully prepared for the competition and strove to create their best personal record on the day. The day culminated with the much-anticipated parent’s race, and the ultra-competitive staff race.

In the senior school a number of athletes stood out. The events lasted a whole day. All of the students involved worked really hard and should be thrilled with the progress they have made.

All of the students invested a lot of time and effort into the sports day.
