Anti-Bullying Assembly
On the 25th November, the Stanley House delivered an entertaining and educational themed assembly: Stronger Than A Bully. Its aim was to raise awareness of the issues of bullying in the Wellington community. We managed to go through the following areas:
- Different types of bullying
- The psychology of bullying
- How to deal with bullying
- Why shouldn’t we tolerate bullying?
It was great to see how much the audience enjoyed the mini plays we prepared, and our actors/actresses Judy, Roy, Peter, Suzi, Victoria, Melody and Apple filled the theatre with laughter and cheering. The assembly ended with an unforgettable pair of musical performances by Helen and Mandy.
One thing that was very special about the assembly is the fact that it was an entirely student led event, driven by our head of house: Victoria Fu. The whole process of coming up with plans, encountering difficulties and solving them made this Stanley House assembly particularly meaningful.
