Junior Sports Day
13 Jan 2016
The 4th Annual Junior School Sports Day was another wonderful day. In beautiful weather, pupils managed to stay hydrated and primed for athleticism throughout a hectic series of activities.
Heroic efforts were on display throughout the day, which made for a tough call when it came to deciding the “Best Female Athlete Award” and “Best Male Athlete Award”. However, there could be just one recipient in each category, and deservingly these were awarded to Crystal (Year 6) for the girls, and Ian (Year 6) for the boys.
After a long day of determination, perspiration and fun, the scores were totted up, leaving a delighted Blucher House as the worthy winners. It must be noted that it was a nail-bitingly close competition with just twenty points separating first and second place.
The day was rounded of with certificates for excellent effort being handed out to students across the Junior School, as well as a medal and an ice cream for all who participated. Well done to all the pupils and a big thank you to the staff who helped to make it such a memorable day.
