CONGRATULATIONS TO MR TOBY ROUNDELL

Mr Toby Roundell has been awarded an Honourable Mention in the prestigious SACRARIUM International Sacred Music Composition Competition 2015 Edition for his composition Benedictus (The Song of Zechariah) for Mixed Choir and String Orchestra. The music competition was held in Lviv, Ukraine and attracted competition entries from across the world. Mr Roundell’s piece was one of just twelve finalists, and the recording by the Lviv Chamber Orchestra & Galician Chamber Choir is available on Youtube. It is a very great accolade to be recognised in this way, and our congratulations go to Mr Roundell for his outstanding achievement. You can hear more of Mr Roundell’s music next year as we look to run series of music events showcasing the many and varied musical talent we have here in the school, both among the pupils and the staff.
