Key Stage 2 Football Match

13 Jan 2016
Wellington Key Stage 2 team played a competitive and useful game against Fuxing Primary School on April 20th. A large party of people from Fuxing came to Wellington and it was great to play a game against a new school. With a number of players away in London the game gave a good opportunity for some of the younger students to show their skill against older players. Naturally this is not as easy as it sounds but it was very exciting to see the Year 3 and Year 4 students play with such purpose and effort. Fraser Elrick and Graham Gillings did not look out of place against Year 6 students. They selected good times to pass and used their game sense to get into threatening attacking positions. Geoff, Richard, David and Jake gave the team some size and maturity and I was pleased to see how well they encouraged the other players. All of the students involved should be very happy with their contribution and I hope they enjoyed the experience. Many thanks to Mr Jason Yan for arranging the fixture. Thanks also to Mrs Wei and Mr Turner for working so hard with the students during football after school activities.
