Year 6 UK Trip - what a day !
Today was definitely the most anticipated day of the whole trip and it didn’t disappoint. 8 whole hours of Legoland fun and what better way for an 11 year old to spend their birthday? Having wished Peter a happy birthday at breakfast, we then worked our way around the site. It was so quiet it enabled us to get on all of the rides that we wanted to. First of all, a soaking! The water rides were good fun and were the place we all returned to at the end when we had time to spare. Poor Miss Jessie was coerced in to going on the Jolly Rocker (Pirate ship ride). She hadn’t been on one before, but the children needed to have an adult sitting at each end of the row, so Mr. James was on one end and Miss Jessie was on the other. She had to sit through 5 rides! I think she quite liked it by the end though.
The queues for most rides were less than 15 minutes, which made for a great day. The sun was shining too – what more could you ask for?
And of course, no visit is complete without a trip to the shop! A fair amount of Lego was purchased, whether it all makes it back to Tianjin remains to be seen.
