Love in Lovia

On this Valentines day we showed love to the people of Lovia village by bringing rucksacks packed with educational supplies and goodies to the children in the rural preschools. After giving a bag to each child, they eagerly opened their bags to find candy, wash things, stationary and of course toys. The children were bursting with excitement. When we left the pre-school they sang a song of blessing in Cambodian. We also gave bicycles as gifts to the preschool teachers and bigger toys and games and sports equipment for the whole class to share. We support 3 preschools, 2 of which, the Wellington students were able to give out the bags first hand, the others will be delivered to the teacher this week.

After a long day’s work, as a well earned treat for the Wellington students, we went to the main town for an Italian meal, well, it is was Valentines after all.
