Life needs colour

11 Jan 2016

As the builders finalised the classroom, our wonderful and energetic students sprung into action with the brightest of paint. With every colour we applied, the village children excitedly followed us round tapping the planks eagerly until we told them the name of the colour in English.  Cheered on by the children eagerly encouraging ‘moy tiet, sohn, moy tiet’, meaning one more, please one more.  The students put their full energy into completing the classroom in a day.

We enjoyed another lunch in the village cooked with the locals, as well a much welcomed mini breaks where the locals showed their gratitude through bringing fresh coconuts down from the trees as a gift to us.

Our students are beginning to see and understand the difference they can make in the lives of others less fortunate and we are so deeply proud of them.
