Love Cambodia: Update on the charity work in Cambodia

11 Jan 2016

After an epic 15 hour journey from Wellington Tianjin we arrived in Siem Reap , Cambodia late on Wednesday evening. We were taken to our guest house for a good night's sleep before getting up on Thursday morning for our first adventures to the village. We went to a beautiful village called Lovia to visit the family who have been given a much needed new home thanks to the generosity and hard work of many people in the Wellington community. Our task? To paint their home. Not only does this make it look better but it also preserves the wood for longer. The team threw themselves into the task enthusiastically and after a morning of hard work we stopped for a lovely lunch in the village. A few more hours of touching up the paintwork and then we were finished. By the end of the day students were tired, happy and covered in brown paint!
