Year 3 and 5 girls football

11 Jan 2016

After a promising 0-0 draw against TIS, thanks to some fierce defending by Sunny and Jasmine and goal-keeping by Sayali, the year 3-5 girls B team conceded a game to TEDA but not before a fantastic goal by Djenabou. This took us into a 1-0 lead, but unfortunately TEDA's attack was too strong and we went 2-1 behind at the finish. However, we were offered another chance in the semi-finals, a tense 0-0 game meant only one thing... penalty shoot-out! Oh happy day! Some excellent goal keeping on both sides and focused shooting by Rose, Jasmine, Rucy and Mary lead to a nail-biting finish whereby Wellington Girls missed out on reaching the finals by one goal only. A fantastic effort by every member of the squad. Keep it up girls!
