Year 3 and 4 A Team Football

A combined Wellington College Year 3 and 4 A team took part in the ISCOT Football Tournament on Thursday 16th October. The team played favourites IST A in their first match and narrowly lost despite the valiant efforts of the players.  Kaiyi did well in goal and made several important saves. Fraser worked hard and ran all game, never giving up. Stanley, Graham and Daniel tackled well throughout.

Our next game saw us playing TEDA. We dominated the game and passed the ball well. Fraser and Graham linked play and Daniel and Joseph stopped their attacks. Aleksander also made several important passes. The A team were deserved winners. We then played IST B team and continued with our slick passing game which resulted in another victory. Again, Fraser contributed with several mazy runs, whilst Daniel charged forward into the box. Joseph tackled well whilst Graham and Stanley kept possession and pushed forward. Kaiyi continued to impress in goal with safe hands and long goal kicks. The A team came out on top with another  win.

Our last game was against our own B team. Once again, the team passed the ball well and finished as winners. Three wins and one loss meant that the A team finished second overall in their group.
