Looking ahead with the Wellington Student Council and the Careers Department
The Wellington Student Council featured prominently in this week’s Senior School Assembly. Esztella and Celia , as well as Year 13 pupils Venus and Fergus , led the Assembly. Pupil-run events and initiatives are very much a core element of life as a student at Wellington, underpinned by the full support of both the academic and non-academic staff.
This week’s Assembly saw a presentation of a cheque for RMB 5,330 to Ms. Brenda Tea of ICCO (International Committee for Chinese Orphans) following a successfully-run ‘Dress-Down Day’ organised by members of the Student Council. Looking ahead to the rest of term, exciting announcements were made regarding upcoming charity events such as the ‘Big Sleepover’ (to be held in aid of the Tianjin Jianhua Foundation), Halloween festivities (Friday 31st October) and the Wellington Christmas Concert (Tuesday 9th December).
Information regarding our upcoming International Higher Education Fair (24th-25th October) was also provided by our Head of Sixth Form and Careers, as well as a reminder regarding the Michaelmas Term Assessment Week (week beginning Monday 24th November).
For more information regarding how your organisation might work with the Wellington Careers Department, or for inquiries regarding any of the aforementioned upcoming events and festivities, please contact the school directly here.
