Charity Sleepover – a night without a bed

11 Jan 2016

Our compassionate, global minded senior school students gathered together for a sleepover in the Wellington School sports hall.  To empathies with the children and families they are supporting in Cambodia, students and staff went the evening without the comfort of their own bed.

The atmosphere was electric and for many, only a few hours sleep were had. Although the focus was to create an opportunity for our students to empathise with the many that do not have a bed to call their own, we did still organize a range of activities for the students to enjoy together.

The Westin generously and creatively sponsored the event in a number of ways; including providing a cooking class for all those who attended.  The WCIT leadership students organised games that were both exciting and in some cases had deeper meaning to connect them to the cause they were gathered for.
