Year 3 Project - Our Airport

11 Jan 2016

On Friday 13th June, Year 3 proudly opened “Wellington International Airport” for its inaugural flight to parents and invited guests. Everyone in the class had a role to play from the check-in desk to passport control, baggage handlers to immigration officers. On the plane they had flight attendants, pilots and navigators. And the pupil playing the police officer had to arrest a wayward individual who tried to board without a ticket or passport! This person was acted by Year 13 pupil, Kieran, who had to receive medical treatment from our highly skilled doctor Drama over, our passengers, boarded our luxury bus to be taken to our plane.

The flight left on time and everyone on board enjoyed drinks and snacks whilst watching a movie all about life in Year 3. Upon landing back at Wellington International Airport, the passengers were reunited with their luggage before heading to the arrivals lounge and then home.

A successful flight over, Year 3 decided to close the airport, but keep an eye out as it may return!
