ISCOT Football Competition
On May 14th the Year 4/5/6 football team entered the ISCOT 7-a-side football competition for the second time this year.
There was a positive start, with the first match building the team’s confidence with a 2-0 victory against REGO. Given they comprehensively lost to IST in the last game, tensions were high among the Wellington players in their second game against IST. However after a frantic opening 5 minutes Wellington volleyed in from a corner and secured the win.
TEDA were the next opponents in what turned out to be a 0-0 draw. The final game of the tournament saw Wellington players face off against TIS. Wellington only required one point to claim first place, but a loss would hand the trophy to our opponents. It was undoubtedly the fiercest competition in the day and ended to a 2-2 draw, enough to secure Wellington a tournament victory.
