Nest & Junior School Sports Day
Three beautiful days of weather and three glorious sports days at Wellington College. The Nest sports day took place on Monday 26th May, Miss Lockyer and her team worked tirelessly to make sure the day went well. There were a number of events for the children in the Reception, Nursery, Year 1 and Year 2 to enjoy; from specialist athletics events like the 100 meters and the javelin throw, to fun activities such as the water filling race and dressing up race. The children were in mixed aged groups and all performed with enthusiasm and ability. In the end Wellesley won the event, with the other houses very close behind. In the Key stage 2 sports day there were a number of pupils eager to break records and perform well for their respective houses. The events were great to watch and it was very pleasing to see all of the pupils work so hard. It was a fruitful day with pupils breaking records in the events of different year groups, such as hurdles, 100 meters run, javelin, standing jump, long jump, shot put. In the end Stanley won a very tight competition. We believe all of the pupils enjoyed the day and are very proud of their achievements.Related Articles
