Senior Basketball vs Vermontia

The senior basketball team wrapped up their campaign with a close game against Vermontia. It is the first time we have played a fixture against Vermontia, and it was very pleasing to extend the links we have with other schools in Tianjin.

The game was close throughout and in the 3rd quarter the scores were level. Steven made his last performance for Wellington in the match and it was clear that he was determined to put in a strong one. He helped create a number of scoring opportunities and contributed a good return of points from his position of point guard. Mike was also making his last performance for the College and he put in a polished and commanding final appearance, making a number of intelligent assists and showing an impressive work rate throughout.

Unfortunately the players could not register a win in their final game. A lot of work will need to be done next year to develop the basketball team, and future players would do well to follow the example set by the leavers.
