Wellington Junior House Badminton Competition

11 Jan 2016

The inter-house badminton competition proved to be a very eventful and exciting day for the pupils in the Junior school. Year 1 through to Year 6 were involved in some capacity and helped create a fun and inclusive competition. The pupils had been practising hard during the term and all of them can be proud of the contribution they made to their house.

All the players are divided into 3 major groups: Year1 &2, Year 3 and Year 4 to 6. The points collected will go towards the final inter-house score. While the younger players facing the challenges on serve technique, shot accuracy and rallying, the Year 3 upward matches proved to be very entertaining with many of the games going to a tie break. A number of parents and pupils came to watch and this helped foster an excellent atmosphere.
