Wellington senior students contribute at Tianjin local charity event

08 Jan 2016

On Wednesday 4th September 2013, a group of Year12 IB students and members of the Chinese Sixth Form from Wellington College International Tianjin attended an evening event hosted by the Ya Ai Foundation (天津市工商联雅爱社) held at the Geneva Hotel in Tianjin. This hugely successful event raised in excess of 80,000 RMB for the treatment of children suffering from Osteogenesis Imperfecta (otherwise known as Brittle Bone Disease, or OI). The students volunteered as both table ushers and assistants to the charity auction, as part of their IB CAS program as well as to gain vital experience in the fields of community service events and charitable institutions.
