Senior Sports Day at Wellington College

Wellington College held its Senior School Sports Day on Friday 28th June, for pupils in Years 7 to 13. Covering a range of ten track and field events, the day was organized as a contest between the four ‘Houses’ – Blucher, Orange, Stanley and Wellesley.

With the competition to be the overall winning House for the year still a four horse race, every event saw the pupils giving their best for their Houses in some very closely fought races and events, with great support from fellow pupils, and in the afternoon, parents too. It was a thoroughly entertaining – and tiring – day!

In the end the Stanley won, sealing a year in which they have dominated the sports competitions. Individual trophies were also awarded for the top boy and girl athletes, with the Year 7-9 awards going to Chelsea Archer and Jason Liu, Year 10-11 awards to Brian Kim and Lara Creighton, and the Sixth Form awards to Lily Tian and Felix Fowler.
