Enjoying Classical Music at Wellington - Concert for a Summer’s Evening
On Monday 24th June, the wonderfully talented young pianist Emma Chen, from the music department at Wellington College, performed with some of her friends, treating the audience to a range of beautiful pieces.
During the hour long performance, the audience had the chance to listen to some Mozart, Rachmaninov, Chopin, Brahms and Elgar, with Emma’s piano-playing accompanied by the cello, violin and bassoon. The concert was brought to a close with Wellington’s Director of Performing Arts, Mr Steve Griffiths, performing a piano duet.
After the performance, members of the audience were cordially invited to join the performers for a cocktail reception.
