Wellington College Induction Day
Wellington College Induction Day
Wellington College International Tianjin held an Induction Day for its new pupils on Wednesday 22nd August. The Master, Mr David Cook, welcomed them and told parents and pupils it was exactly a year ago to the day that Wellington had opened its doors for the first time. Wellington continued to grow, with around 300 pupils going into its second year. Growing pupil numbers meant growing staff. Mr Cook introduced a number of new teachers and new subjects, including Spanish and Business Studies/Economics. Mrs Jane Robinson, Head of the Junior School and Mr Murray Fowler, Second Master, gave presentations including a curriculum overview and information on school policies, procedures and expectations. Pupils and parents had the opportunity to see their classrooms, and to meet some of the teachers. It was hard to believe Wellington had achieved so much in such a short period of time and Mr Cook highlighted some of the exciting events taking place this term, including the school musical, Bugsy Malone.
