Welcome to Mr Michael Higgins as the new Master at Wellington College International Tianjin

Dear Parents,

As the Chairman of the Board of Governors, I am delighted to welcome Mr Michael Higgins to take up the position of Master at Wellington College International Tianjin for the current academic year.

The 2015-16 Academic year represents a new and exciting era for the college under new leadership. Michael will be supported by an established and talented senior leadership team and staff. Together they will lead the college and its pupils forward towards sustained excellence and further growth as we strive for ever increasing standards and provide students with a cutting edge global, educational experience.

Mr Michael Higgins offers commitment and a wealth of British Independent School and International School experience as he leads the college over the next 5 years, or more. He takes up the tenure at Wellington College International Tianjin having previously been Head of Moreton Hall Prep school for 6 years and St. Mary’s Hall (feeder school to Stonyhurst College) for 5 years in the UK. More recently he has similarly served the British International School, Cairo admirably for ten years, a school that has recently been awarded excellence in all categories by ISI, the same body that inspects Wellington College UK.

Wellington College International Tianjin will benefit from Mr Michael Higgins’ leadership as he grows the school community, engages with parent and the community, leads our excellent staff and ensures the students receive the highest quality all rounded education that is part of Wellington’s DNA. The college will maintain a commitment to offering an education underpinned by the Wellington Aptitudes with the Wellington Values running through all aspects life at the college, so that children leave Wellington College International Tianjin ready to fully access what is appropriate for them, be it transfer to another world class school, a top University place or out in the world of work.
