As the New Year begins, so too does the arrival of joyful news. In the 2026 global university application season, our school has received an exciting announcement: Adam and Tony, through their solid academic foundations, outstanding all-round abilities, and distinctive personal potential, have both been awarded conditional offers from one of the world’s most prestigious institutions – the University of Oxford!
Two Stars, Each Shining in Their Own Way
Adam, Graduate of Class 2026

With a broad interdisciplinary perspective, a firm grounding in the humanities and social sciences, and a deep concern for both society and the life sciences, Adam has successfully secured a place to read Human Sciences at Oxford. This unique degree integrates biology, sociology, genetics, and other diverse fields of knowledge – ideally suited to thoughtful explorers like Adam, who combine analytical rigour with humanistic warmth.

Tony, Graduate of Class 2026

With a firm foundation in mathematics and physics, sharp scientific insight, and an unwavering spirit of inquiry, Tony has gained a place on Oxford’s four-year integrated master’s course in Physics. Renowned for its exceptionally high entry requirements and intense global competition, this achievement not only affirms his academic potential but also celebrates his dedication to scientific pursuit and innovation.

Nurturing Talent, Awaiting the Bloom
The offers from Oxford are not merely individual milestones; they stand as a testament to our commitment as educators. Every lesson taught, every conversation shared, and every piece of guidance offered has contributed to our pupils reaching this point.
At Wellington, we remain devoted to building an open, diverse, and supportive learning environment. Through personalised curriculum design, exceptional academic resources, and expert university guidance, we empower each pupil to delve deeply into their chosen fields, grow through challenges, and gradually develop into future leaders with critical thinking skills and a global perspective.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to both pupils, their families, and their teachers. Their success is the result of natural talent, sustained effort, the professional guidance of our staff, and the unwavering support of their families. This shared achievement not only illuminates their individual academic journeys but also sets a shining example of excellence for all Wellington pupils.
The university application season is still underway, and we look forward to more good news in the coming months. We are confident that many more of our pupils will continue to write their own remarkable chapters on the global stage.
