Corey’s Chemistry Journey

Corey’s shy exterior is deceptive. It does not take long to realise that this 2024 Wellington College Tianjin graduate, is a young man of both depth and ambition.
Now in his first year at Imperial College London, Corey has already managed to balance his rigorous studies with a fulfilling social life. He makes time for other passions, like football and has discovered a new hobby as well, gliding.

Ask him about chemistry, however, and that is when Corey’s eyes really light up. Imperial’s wealth of academic resources and flexible timetable enable him to delve deep into this passion and explore everything from organic chemistry to spectroscopy, and he’s even taken a new interest in quantum mechanics. There are endless opportunities for discovery at Imperial, and Corey is keen to explore them all.

We call our graduates ‘Old Wellingtonians’ or OWs because, in our eyes, they never really leave us. Once a Wellingtonian, always a Wellingtonian. And it is in this spirit that we have launched We.Connect, a new alumni platform that brings the Wellington College China Community a wide range of benefits — from networking opportunities to mentorship programmes and so much more.
