2025 Media Workshop
Wellington College Tianjin proudly hosted its 2025 Media Open Day on 26 March under the theme "Education Innovation and Global Competence." The event attracted numerous media representatives, education experts, and industry partners to explore future-oriented educational developments and innovative practices.
Highlights: Showcasing Innovation Through Diverse Formats
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr Yang Yang, Master of Wellington College Tianjin, who reflected on the institution's educational philosophy and achievements. Dr Yang emphasised the school's commitment to nurturing future-ready individuals with global competence, expressing hope that the event would foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration within the education sector. During an insightful discussion session, Dr Yang engaged with media representatives to explore practical approaches to internationalising education and leveraging technology, while sharing how the school cultivates pupils' global perspectives and innovative thinking.

In-Depth Campus Tour:Led by Wellington pupils and admissions staff, visitors explored the school's state-of-the-art facilities, experiencing first-hand the exceptional learning and living environment. Pupil ambassadors confidently shared their daily experiences, offering guests a genuine glimpse into Wellington's distinctive campus culture.


Pupil Panel: Voices of Excellence:Scholarship recipients were invited to share their Wellington journeys and reflections. From academic growth to extracurricular involvement and global mindset development, these outstanding pupils vividly demonstrated how the school's educational ethos has supported their holistic development.



Hands-On Learning Experience:A particular highlight was the interactive Design and Technology session, where guests participated in a senior school class to create 3D-printed lion figurines under specialist teachers' guidance. This practical session demonstrated Wellington's approach to fostering creativity and practical skills in its pupils.




The evening culminated in a special performance of Miss Saigon: School Edition by Wellington pupils. The cast's professional and captivating performance received resounding applause, showcasing the school's excellence in arts education.
