The Year 3 and Year 5 pupils have been studying the topic of "Body and Health" in class, so they visited the College of Life Sciences at Tianjin Normal University to delve into the mysteries of traditional Chinese medicine. In the college’s laboratory, pupils became acquainted with medicinal herbs such as hawthorn and bezoar and learned about their medicinal properties. The highlight of their visit was making hawthorn pills with their own hands. Through this hands-on experience, the pupils not only deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese medicine but also learned the reasons behind its efficacy. This activity allowed the pupils to appreciate the profound depth of Chinese traditional culture and sparked their keen interest in health science.

Meanwhile, the Year 2 pupils set off for the Civil Aviation Universityof China for an exploration of the principles of flight. In the university’s aviation laboratory, they observed airplane models up close and learned about the basic principles of takeoff, flight, and landing. Through teacher explanations and interactive experiments, the pupils developed a strong interest in aviation science. This activity broadened their horizons and filled them with curiosity and anticipation for future technological developments.


For many pupils, this was their first visit to a Chinese university campus. They not only experienced the strong academic atmosphere of the university but also the rich and diverse campus life. Whether it was the research spirit at the College of Life Sciences or the technological charm at the Civil Aviation University, the pupils were left with a longing for their future study and life.

The Year 4 pupils learned about the histories of different countries in their classroom. To gain a deeper understanding of Chinese history and culture, they went on an educational visit to the capital city, Beijing. The pupils visited the Forbidden City and, through a detailed introduction from the guide, they not only learned about the historical changes during the Ming and Qing dynasties but also experienced the grandeur and beauty of ancient Chinese architecture. This trip to Beijing not only enriched the pupils' knowledge of history but also strengthened their sense of identity and pride in Chinese culture.

This spring educational visits not only brought the pupils closer to nature but also imparted them with a wealth of knowledge beyond the classroom. This experience will undoubtedly become an unforgettable memory in their growth journey, inspiring them to continuously explore and progress in their future studies.
