New Courses

1.Our improved English Programme

In this comprehensive English programme, the pupils can progress from as young as 2.5 years old to 11 years old in their language learning. To further improve the quality of our teaching and curriculum, we have divided the 2.5-5 age group into 3 levels and the 6-8 / 8-11 age groups into 2 levels. With multiple levels, the pupils will be in a class with peers with similar language proficiency, that better suit the unique needs of each pupil. Our experienced and caring native English teachers use a variety of teaching strategies to ensure that every child can succeed and enjoy their language-learning journey.

One of the highlights in our Academy for Kindergarten pupils will be the newly designed ‘Little Welly Weekend Club’. On Saturday mornings, children from 2.5-4.5 years old can join our Nest Kindergarten for a morning full of fun, learning and diverse activities. The weekend club is suitable for current Nest pupils as well as children who are interested in our Kindergarten.

Our programme has three main categories that include immersive English, outdoor learning and expressive art. All courses are being taught in small groups by our highly quality Wellington staff and carefully selected long-term activity vendors.

This programme is very suitable to let your child get familiar with the Wellington Kindergarten, International learning environment and in a playful way to improve their skills.

Kindergarten English Language – 2.5-5 Years

Level #1 Immersive English:

Our Level 1 group is created for 2.5-4.5-year-olds and will be included in our  half-day ‘Welly Weekend Club’. This level is for our youngest learners with little to zero English proficiency. Our level 1 English includes activities like ‘Learning through play’, ‘Bilingual Storytime’, ‘Rhyme and Songs’ and much more. Your child can learn the basics of English in a safe and nurturing environment.

Level #2 Phonics and Daily Conversations:

After reaching a basic level of English, our teachers will improve the pupil’s oral English with phonics exercises and games and get familiar with how to conduct daily conversations. We aim to build confidence in children to express themselves in English without fear or hesitation, develop basic skills that lay the foundation for reading, writing, listening, and speaking in a new language, promote social skills by fostering collaboration, sharing, and teamwork through group activities, and encourage lifelong learning by instilling a love of learning and curiosity about languages and cultures.

Level #3 Young Writers:

For the more advanced pupils, we have created a third level in which they will explore how to write in English. The children learn the tools that can be used to express oneself in words on paper. This level is the perfect bridge between kindergarten English and learning in primary school.

English Language - 6-8 Years International Primary Curriculum

Level #1 Little Linguists:

For the pupils in the lower-level group, this is an excellent opportunity to receive more focused attention and targeted support in their language development. We will work on building a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure, ensuring that each pupil gains confidence in their abilities. Using engaging activities and exercises designed to suit their current level, we aim to foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that will help them progress steadily and prepare for more advanced challenges in the future.

Level #2 Rising Stars:

This group will be exposed to more complex grammatical structures, a richer vocabulary, and nuanced aspects of the English language. We will focus on enhancing their critical thinking skills through discussions, debates, and advanced writing assignments. Additionally, pupils will have the opportunity to explore literature, engage in comprehensive reading activities, and develop their analytical skills. By having access to these extended learning opportunities, pupils will be able to push their boundaries and continue their journey towards fluency and sophistication in English.

English Language – 8-11 Years International Primary Curriculum

Level #1 Young Beginners:

Unlock a world of excitement and discovery with our dynamic English learning programme designed especially for young beginners! Central to our curriculum is interactive learning, turning every lesson into an immersive experience where pupils engage actively. This hands-on approach ensures better retention and a deeper understanding of English. To keep the journey fun and effective, we incorporate regular and enjoyable quizzes, enabling learners to reinforce new vocabulary and grammar concepts while tracking their progress. Our program also shines a spotlight on writing for information purposes, encouraging young learners to articulate their thoughts clearly and concisely.

Level #2 Intermediate Learners:

Our dynamic approach transforms traditional lessons into captivating adventures through discovery topics that ignite curiosity and joy in learning. By incorporating group research projects, we foster teamwork and critical thinking, empowering pupils to explore and conquer fascinating subjects together. Interactive learning is the core of our curriculum, turning each lesson into an immersive experience. Our programme emphasizes writing for information purposes, helping young learners articulate their thoughts clearly and concisely—an invaluable skill for their future academic and personal success. We break down complex concepts with visually engaging diagrams and labels, making challenging material both accessible and memorable.
