Sodexo Brings Beijing Cuisine to Wellington
As we commence the new academic year, Wellington College Tianjin is thrilled to announce Sodexo as our new dining service provider. Sodexo is committed to delivering fresh, delicious, and nutritionally balanced meals, alongside exceptional service.
Meet Sodexo: A Global Leader in Foodservice and Facilities Management
Sodexo was established in 1966 in Marseille, France. Operating in China since 1995, Sodexo boasts over 50 years of experience globally. As the sole provider with a dedicated business segment for education services, Sodexo has built a global structure in this field, leveraging leading expertise from international markets. They have successfully partnered with numerous renowned international schools, making them one of the largest international education service providers in Asia.
Sodexo is committed to enhancing the quality of life for our community by offering simple, healthy menus that exclude trans fats and MSG, and minimize the use of fried foods. Summer Upgrades: A Fresh Look for the Dining Hall
With the introduction of Sodexo, we are not only welcoming a globally leading catering service provider but also marking a significant enhancement in our school dining experience. We are thrilled to unveil the comprehensively renovated and upgraded school dining hall. The core goal of this renovation initiative was to create a more comfortable, modern, and attractive dining environment for all pupils.
We believe that a premium dining space not only enhances the dining experience but also fosters social interactions between pupils, boosting their satisfaction and sense of belonging to campus life. The upgraded facilities feature advanced kitchen equipment, a more user-friendly dining area layout, and a series of environmentally friendly and energy-saving measures. These improvements significantly increase the efficiency and quality of our dining services while providing pupils with healthier, more sustainable meal options.
Themed Food Event: Beijing Flavors on Campus
On August 30th, Sodexo hosted a remarkable Food Promotion featuring a traditional Beijing theme. The event showcased a variety of traditional Beijing delicacies, including Beijing Roast Duck, Grilled Meat with Beijing Style, Beijing Soybean Paste Noodles, and “Qianlong” Chinese Cabbage. The catering team also treated everyone to handmade Ice-sugar Gourd.
Adding to the excitement, they hosted a ‘Bejing Douzhi Tasting Challenge’, which was thoroughly enjoyed by both pupils and staff. Moving forward, the school will continue to collaborate with Sodexo to introduce more global-themed food promotion activities, allowing pupils to experience culinary cultures from around the world.
The addition of Sodexo and the extensive upgrades to the dining hall represents a holistic improvement in the dining services at Wellington College Tianjin. These enhancements allow pupils to enjoy delicious meals while experiencing increased fun and cultural diversity. Together, we will bring a better catering experience to our entire community.
