Celebrating Excellence | Honoring Competition Achievers

The 2023-2024 Academic year has now come to an end. The past year has been very fruitful, with not only our graduates receiving offers from the world’s top universities, but also our senior school pupils achieving phenomenal results in various academic competitions. Over 50% of our senior school pupils have participated in one or more academic competitions, and they have worked very hard and consistently aimed for excellence, leading to unprecedented success in different fields.
In maths and science competitions, pupils have displayed exceptional problem-solving skills and innovative thinking. They came out in top national and global competitions, earning recognition for their achievements. For instance, Y13 Tim won a Distinction award in one of the most challenging and renowned maths competitions, British Mathematical Olympiads; Ethan won the gold award with full scores in UKMT-Intermediate Mathematical Challenge; Kiki, Eric and Eunice won gold awards in British Biology Olympiads. Their success in these fields shows their strong grasp of theoretical concepts and ability to apply them in real-world situations.
The pupils have also excelled in economics and business competitions, where they have demonstrated their comprehensive knowledge of finance, entrepreneurship and management. For example, they participated in the National Economics Challenge and Business Professionals of America, where they have won accolades for their business acumen and innovative ideas. More importantly, pupils have developed their team spirit and leadership skills throughout the process.
In the area of humanities, our pupils demonstrated their analytical and critical thinking abilities, combined with their excellent writing skills. Furthermore, the senior school pupils also showcased their computer and technology skills through their participation in programming and robotics competitions. Their ability to code and create functioning robots, apps, and software programs displayed their proficiency in using technology and their bright futures in the technology industry.

Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and perseverance in pursuing excellence as well as a reflection of the robust academic program and outstanding teaching they receive.
