Local Community Building | Wellington and Cathay Future
The value of inter-school communication in the local community has never been more important. Recently, Wellington College Tianjin was invited to participate in the "Same Sky, Same Dream" 2024 School Performance of Cathay Future Teda City Kindergarten. Ms Lili Ma, Director of Cathay Future Preschool Education Group, warmly welcomed Wellington, and Mr Qian Zhao, Chairman of Cathay Future Preschool Education Group, graciously guided Wellington to visit facilities including the Science and Technology Museum, Future Art Museum, Library, and more.
As both schools are in Hongqiao District, communication between us has been running closely. In March, our Nest teachers visited Teda City Kindergarten and shared unique education concepts and features of each other. In May, Teda City Kindergarten children came to Wellington College Tianjin, where they experienced a wonderful stage performance and Junior School learning journey. This exchange and community-building activity paved the way for future reciprocal visits and opportunities for each school to learn from one another. The seeds of friendship have been planted, and we look forward to the continuation and strengthening of this precious friendship in the days to come.
As the backbone of international education resources in Hongqiao District, Wellington College Tianjin is committed to serving the community while continuing to develop and grow. The school provides high-quality international education resources and actively builds bridges between Chinese and Western cultures.
Additionally, Wellington College Tianjin participates in community sports and culturalactivities, such as the Tianjin Dragon Boat Race, and supports variouscharitable causes in China. Over the years, Wellington College Tianjin has alsoreceived numerous honours for its outstanding academic achievements, faculty,team-building initiatives and more.
The school is guided by a clear vision and purpose founded upon three strong pillars, "We are Connectors" being one of them. The school will never forget its original aspiration of serving the community and will continue to make contributions to community development.
