The China Festival of Education is coming!
The China Festival of Education is coming once again for its seventh year running! Hosted by Wellington College International Shanghai on Saturday 20 April 2024, this year’s Festival promises to be a day of stimulating, informative — and even fun — workshops, seminars and panel discussions.

the sixth China Festival of Education
Now a global Festival
Originating at Wellington College in Crowthorne, England, the Festival of Education was designed to be an event ‘Where those who inspire find their own inspiration’. Every year, educators are invited to an unparalleled event where they can learn, grow and create connections with their professional peers.
The Festival has now gone global, with editions in Washington, D.C. and Bangkok debuting in the fall of 2023, which will be followed up this April in Shanghai and, finally, in Crowthorne, UK this July.
The 7th China edition:
“Empowering Learners
for a Connected World”
This year’s China Festival will explore what the future holds for educators and students. From AI to social media, we are facing a barrage of disruptive technologies. Some will no doubt revolutionise how we educate the next generation. Others will require constant vigilance and adaptivity. Either way, today’s educators must raise the bar. It is up to them to find new and creative ways to empower learners, cultivating a sense of agency and helping them find their own voice, so they can enter adulthood equipped with the tools they need to thrive as connectors and changemakers.
A roster of more than 50 educators, academics and thought leaders will dive into this theme with compelling discussions on topics like AI and educational technology, climate change and sustainability, coaching leadership, student wellbeing, the art and science of teaching and much more.
A Festival, not a conference
The China Festival of Education promises to be a truly unique event. This is not a conference. It is a gathering of passionate and like-minded educators. The Festival aims not just to inform but to inspire — and even entertain. So, in addition to the day’s full programme of activities, attendees will enjoy great food, live performances and plenty of networking opportunities in a laid-back setting.
We cannot wait to see you in April. Until then, we look forward to sharing some sneak previews of this year’s China Festival in the coming weeks. So, stay tuned!
