Wellington College Bilingual Tianjin Nursery is specially designed to meet the needs of children between the ages of 2-6 years old and provides a quality Wellington education to both local and international families. Home to four year groups, Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Reception and Year 1, our curriculum is linked to the expectations of the English EYFS curriculum and the Chinese curriculum for 3-6 years old.
Each class is overseen by an educational team in each class, under their care, children spend much of their day exploring and learning through play as well as engaging in daily phonics, maths, literacy and outdoor learning. This builds a firm foundation that enables our pupils to advance into Junior School with confidence.
Wellington's Junior School educates children aged from years 6-11 with a bespoke educational programme, combining the core tenets of the English National Curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). There is a particular emphasis on stretching and challenging pupils in Maths and English.
Whilst the core curriculum is that of the English National Curriculum, the IPC provides a thematic thread which draws in global themes and perspectives, thus ensuring that it is a consistently international programme of study for our pupils. It is during the junior years that pupils make the pivotal transition from general classroom teaching to specialised teaching. As they move through the year levels our pupils begin to develop a sense of independence and personal responsibility as they look to transition into Senior School.
In our Senior School, we strive to instil a deep passion for global scientific, linguistic, and cultural heritage in our pupils through our curriculum. We encourage our pupils to explore a diverse range of courses and challenge themselves to step outside their comfort zone.
Our academic qualifications, including the International IGCSE and A Levels, equip our pupils with some of the most highly regarded awards worldwide and pave the way to the world's most prestigious universities.
This January, we have organised lectures by education experts, sharing sessions by our very own pupils, campus tours and in-class experiences with our teachers. We look forward to meeting you at these open days sessions and sharing with you everything that Wellington has to offer.
