Congratulations to our Year 13 pupil Angelina who has won a place at Johns Hopkins University.

Johns Hopkins University, known as JHU, is a prestigious private research university in Baltimore, Maryland. JHU is well known in the academic fields of medicine, public health, biology, economics, history, and international relations. In US NEWS Ranking 2022-2023, JHU ranks 7th, whose grade in education quality and citation rate is dramatically above many Ivy League universities.

JHU Coronavirus Resource Center began tracking global cases of Covid-19 outbreaks in 2020 by gathering data from hundreds of sources worldwide, becoming one of the most cited sources of outbreaks in all countries.

We are thrilled and very proud of Angelina who has received an offer from Johns Hopkins University (JHU) to read Economics. By any measure, JHU’s acceptance rate is extraordinarily low, so she did extremely well to achieve this.
The admissions officer wrote her a lovely email where he said, "I’m so impressed by the genuine voice, empathy, leadership, and compassion showcased throughout your application, and I know that you will be a wonderful addition to our university."
She is a truly remarkable and very well-rounded individual who has a passion for solving world problems. She is energetic and extremely well-organised and has no difficulty balancing her academic workload with her Head of College duties and numerous other commitments. She is, without a doubt the top pupil in the cohort, admired by both her peers and her teachers alike.
Whilst it is difficult to mention all her accomplishments here as there are many, one, in particular, has struck a chord with those who know her. She is the founder of a project which provides online English lessons for students in an impoverished area of China and is successfully managing to help to educate and mentor 57 girls in the province of Shanxi.
