At Wellington College China, we are our people. We are committed to providing a workplace where all employees can reach their full potential, take pride in what they do and enjoy a true sense of belonging. Our team continues to grow with a new Hiba campus in Nantong opening this autumn and longer-term plans to take our innovative bilingual education model overseas. We expect our headcount to increase by more than 10% during the next academic year. This steady growth means there are always new and exciting career opportunities across the Wellington College China group.

Our teaching staff come from a diversity of countries and professional backgrounds with an average of 11.3 years of experience. Moreover, our teaching staff remain committed. They stay with us for an average of three years, and more than 20% have worked at Wellington for five years or more.

Continued Professional 

Development (CPD)

 

Our people are our number one asset, so we invest in their success. This is why every academic year, we offer a comprehensive directory of professional development courses for academic and non-academic employees. This year, we have conducted training sessions in teaching methodologies, leadership, cultural awareness, coaching, team building and much more. 

 

 

A full 75% of these courses are taught in-house by our staff. 95% of staff highly believe that WCC supports an orderly learning environment.

Sense of Community

 

A company culture of mutual respect and support creates the fertile soil in which our employees can thrive. So, whether it is competitive salaries, generous health insurance packages (for staff and their families) or reduced tuition for their children, we want to make sure our employees and their families feel well cared for. We provide our foreign employees with an annual airfare so they can visit their loved ones back in their home countries. Moreover, wellbeing is not just for our pupils, which is why we also offer one-on-one mental health counselling to all employees 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
