Boarding at the Benson House accelerates the process of pupils being prepared for life beyond further education, in line with the Wellington College values and identities.  Pupils develop their independence and level of responsibility in a supportive environment, are better able to self-regulate, and learn the value of time and positive relationships.  Boarders gain key life skills and are encouraged to have a healthy balance between study and leisure, pursue and explore different interests and hobbies, and are supported around the clock in their academic, pastoral, and social needs.  Boarders develop into confident, articulate, and resilient young men and women who are ready to take on the challenges that studying and working abroad brings, because of their experiences at Wellington College International Tianjin.

The Benson boarding house is a ten minutes’ walk away from the college.
